About the Method
Courage is not reserved for heroes, emergencies, or extraordinary moments.
It appears whenever something matters and fear, uncertainty, vulnerability, or risk stands between you and action.
Courage does not mean eliminating fear.
Fear can remain without controlling the decision.
Courage does not guarantee the right decision.
Courage makes choosing possible.
Avoidance/nonchoice also shapes a life.
Courage is practical, gradated, and trainable.
Small acts matter.
Repeated action can strengthen future courage.
Courage enables values and other virtues to become action.
Learn, measure, and practice
Identify what blocks a particular action: fear of rejection, uncertainty, shame, discomfort, or concern about the consequences. Choose one barrier at a time and a manageable action to practice.
Before and after the action, record how difficult it felt on a 0–10 scale, whether you attempted it, and what you learned. Track your own changes over repeated attempts. These are practical self-observations, not a validated clinical assessment or a guarantee of success.
Courage is practical, gradated, trainable, and measurable through the actions you attempt. It appears in ordinary life. Fear may remain while losing control over your decision. Avoidance and nonchoice also shape your life. Courage makes choosing possible; it does not guarantee the right choice.
